The first album Kalankiko Jam in 2000 brought the band instant fame, Nahera malai, Basanta udayo and with Chaubandi Cholo firmly establishing itself in the popularity chart for months and among the new breed of pop singers.The album carried a blend of Nepali folk and Newari traditional music.
