Mukti and Revival, a rock band rooted in Kathmandu, Nepal, has been a cornerstone of our musical journey for over three decades now. Our music is a fusion of Nepali folk melodies and American Blues, a tribute to our cultural roots intertwined with global influences. From the poignant themes of politics and bureaucracy to celebrating love and the rustic simplicity of Nepali village life, our lyrics resonate across generations, stirring hearts and minds alike.

Founded in 1992 by Mukti Shakya upon his return from Spain, our band has evolved through various line-up changes, each member adding their unique flavor to our sound. Today, Mukti Shakya leads on vocals and guitars, joined by Roshan Kansakar on bass, Sunit Kansakar on guitars, and Nikhil Tuladhar on drums. Together, we craft a symphony of blues that speaks volumes through our shared passion and artistic synergy.

In the mid-90s, we embarked on a new chapter, infusing youthful energy with seasoned experience, culminating in our groundbreaking debut album "Kalanki Ko Jam" in 2000. Since then, our journey has taken us far beyond Nepal's borders, touring extensively across the USA, Canada, Australia, Japan, Hong Kong, Europe, the UK, India, Sikkim, Shillong, Dubai, and beyond. Our international performances, including the prestigious "Joon Festival" in London in June 2019, have been a testament to our commitment to spreading our music worldwide.

Yet, our roots remain firmly planted at home. From stadium extravaganzas to intimate city hall gigs, our nationwide tours have embraced every corner of Nepal, resonating with audiences from all walks of life. We've also been deeply involved in charitable endeavors, using our music to champion causes close to our hearts.

For us, Mukti and Revival isn't just a band; it's a testament to the enduring spirit of Nepali music, blending tradition with innovation to create melodies that transcend borders and generations.
